For a fun getaway for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or just a change of scenery, think about a trip to Las Vegas.
To avoid the hustle and bustle of the big resorts, check into the Tuscany Casino and Suites. Located just off the strip, Tuscany Casino and Suites has all the amenities of the larger resorts without the chaos. It’s a quiet retreat with the nostalgic flavor of Las Vegas. Tuscany is not a huge high rise. Instead, this resort is a group of 15 smaller buildings grouped together and surrounded with FREE, convenient parking. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxed, low-key, stress-free, and all the guest rooms are large suites. There are pools, a spa, a small casino, restaurants, and a gift shop. For those drawn to the vibe of the Las Vegas strip, the main resorts like Ballys, Bellagio, and Caesar’s Palace are just about a block away.
Tuscany Gardens is located in the hotel and serves delicious, mouth-watering selections. I highly recommend the Eggplant Lasagna. There are no noodles, so it is a carb-friendly dish. This is a delicious dish with layers and layers of thinly sliced eggplant with ricotta, Parmigianino, and mozzarella.
The Rat Pack is Back show features some of the great moments from the three entertainers reincarnated into 2018. The three singers taking the roles of Frank, Dean, and Sammy are all superb. Their mannerisms and vocal inflections are spot-on. It’s truly a blast from the past, and audiences in this cozy theater get their money’s worth. This musical, interactive show takes the audience back to the groovy atmosphere of the 1960s with the personas of Dean, Sammy, and Frank. These cool guys were fun individually, but when they got together, the entertainment value went through the roof. Audiences get to experience a bit of what it was like in what many people call “the good old days.”
In February 2014, The High Roller began taking guests 550 feet high, giving them a remarkable sky view of Las Vegas. Compared to the famed London Eye, which tops out at 443 feet high, The High Roller takes approximately 30 minutes to make the journey from the wheelhouse, and it is virtually motionless. If you suffer from motion sickness, you most likely will not experience any adverse reaction to this ride. For a different experience, enjoy “Happy Half Hour” with an open bar, a “Chocolate Tasting” ride hosted by Ethel M. Chocolates, or “Yoga in the Sky,” an hour-long yoga class (two rotations) with an instructor and up to six guests. If you have your own plans, the cabins can be reserved for special occasions like birthdays, parties, events, and even weddings. The view from the glass pods is incredible, night or day.
Getting to Las Vegas is an easy drive or a short flight.
Please call or email Jet Suite X and let them know you want them to start flying out of Orange County (John Wayne Airport) and Long Beach. Once you fly on Jet Suite, you will be spoiled by the roomy seats and complimentary onboard services, including a free drink menu. The fares are just a little higher (not much) than regular airlines. However, it’s definitely worth it. Please call or email at 800-435-9579 or email [email protected].
