On April 3,1874, a small group of ladies in Glencoe, IL formed The Woman’s Library Club (WLC) to promote intellectual and social improvement in the area.
2024, is WLC’s 150th birthday, its sesquicentennial celebration, as one of the oldest ongoing women’s clubs in the country. While the WLC has changed over the years to meet the needs of the community, it has held strong to its commitment to philanthropy, education, and friendship.
Joining us today is Jennifer Parkinson, President of the WLC, to tell us more.
